Weight Loss Scams to Watch Out for in 2012

As we enter the new year, many of us are focused on weight loss and making 2012 the year that we finally make good on our resolution to take our weight down to where it should be.

Unfortunately, 2012 is also the year where many unscrupulous marketers of the “latest & greatest” weight loss solutions are also out to capture what they can from your wallet.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) track complaints against weight loss companies.  Their data show a whopping 50% increase in the number of complaints against weight loss “businesses” over the last 5-6 years.

Here are a few of the top areas to watch out for:

  • HOMEOPATHIC HCG
  • FAKE CLINICAL TRIALS
  • WEIGHT LOSS TEA
  • OUTRAGEOUS HYPNOSIS CLAIMS
  • FAT-DISSOLVING INJECTIONS

Read more about each of these in the doctors’ article just posted on the WeightWorks website – click here to read see the article.

Do take the time to check it out – it’s a lot easier for a weight loss scam to slim down your wallet than your body.

While your wallet may recover from the damage, your body may not.

Please be careful.
