Pharmageddon will kill us!

Last week, the FDA may have made the biggest mistake – - ever.

By a 20-2 vote, the ruling board of the FDA approved Qnexa, a “repackaging” of old diet drug (phentermine), and an even older anti-seizure medication.

And they did so, knowing full well that side effects include heart attacks and birth defects.

Wow! – are we really so desperate?

As a recent Huffington post article states:   Every year the average American consumes 24 pounds of French fries, 23 pounds of pizza, 24 pounds of ice cream, 53 gallons of soda (or a gallon each week), 24 pounds of artificial sweeteners, 2.7 pounds of salt, 90,700 mg of caffeine, and about 2,700 calories a day.

OK, so I think we all can see the problem.  Adding a drug to the mix to counteract this mess is NOT the right solution!

The right solution is to eat right and live well.  But for that, most of us need help.  Which is exactly why we offer Doctor-supervised weight loss.

Weight loss under the supervision of our doctors at our weight loss clinics is much safer than any drugs and more effective than trying to go it alone (where the failure rate is over 95%)….   Besides, it’s not that hard – just read what our patients say: http://weightworksonline.com/testimonials.html
